Click an element to display the basic elemental properties on the right hand side. 

The TOP  shows the elemental groups, which can be drilled down into to show only the elements in that group. 

Searching will give results from PubChem matching the input chemical string. The results contain the physical and experimental properties of the resulting chemical.

Example: 

Inputing H2O will show water, and NaCl will show Sodium Cloride and the various properties of it.  Keep in mind typing HO will not yield Hydroxide, since that has formula OH-.
